A little cafe in Portland, Oregon

Where Every
Bean is Fluff

Cloud-like lattes, tiny pastries that fit in your palm, and a corner of the world that feels like a warm hug. Trevor's been crafting soft things and warm sips since 2019.

Our Little Story

Trevor imagined a place where beans could be fluffy and nobody would question it.

Fluff Beans started in a tiny garage in 2019 with a secondhand espresso machine, a bag of Ethiopian beans, and a lot of curiosity. Trevor wanted to build something that felt less like a coffee shop and more like a friend's living room — if that friend happened to make really good cortados.

Every drink is steamed to a cloud-like microfoam. Every pastry is small enough to hold in one hand while you pet the shop cat, Biscuit. The name isn't just cute — it's the whole feeling we chase.

What Happens Here

01

The Cloud Pour

We steam milk until it feels like a pillow. Each pour is slow and intentional — the foam should float, not fight.

02

Tiny Treats

Our pastries are deliberately small — so you can try three without regret. Baked fresh every morning at 5:30 AM.

Soft Corners

Nooks with worn-in armchairs, a shelf of dog-eared novels, and Biscuit the shop cat making his afternoon rounds.

No Rush

We don't do to-go rush. Stay for an hour. Read the newspaper. Pretend you have nowhere else to be.

What Folks Are Saying

"I came here on a Tuesday when everything felt heavy. Trevor made me a Fluff Latte and didn't ask why I looked sad. The foam was so thick I had to eat it with a spoon. I stayed for two hours and read half a novel. I'll be back tomorrow."

"The Berry Cloud Cake changed my life. That's not hyperbole — I literally proposed to my partner with a slice of it on our third date here. She said yes. Trevor cried. Biscuit the cat knocked over a sugar jar. Perfect afternoon."

Engaged customer

"I work remotely and have tried every cafe in Portland. Fluff Beans is the only one where I don't feel like I'm taking up space. The Wi-Fi is solid, the outlets are plentiful, and Trevor never gives you the side-eye for staying four hours."

Why We Grind Slow

Trevor explains why the grinder at Fluff Beans runs at half speed — and why that extra minute makes every cup taste like patience.

Questions & Answers

Absolutely — we keep oat, almond, and coconut milk on hand at all times. Soy too, if you ask nicely. No extra charge for swapping.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on our patio. Inside, we ask that they stay home so Biscuit the shop cat doesn't stage a diplomatic incident. We have treats for both species.
We don't take table reservations — it's first come, first cozy corner. But if you're planning a private event or want to order a large batch of pastries, give Trevor a call and we'll figure it out.
Free Wi-Fi, plenty of outlets, and zero guilt for staying a while. We only ask that you buy something every couple of hours — and maybe say hello to Trevor when you order.
Trevor was making a latte one morning in 2019 and the microfoam came out so thick and pillowy he said out loud, "These beans are fluff." The name stuck. The cafe opened three months later.
