The Cloud Pour
We steam milk until it feels like a pillow. Each pour is slow and intentional — the foam should float, not fight.
Cloud-like lattes, tiny pastries that fit in your palm, and a corner of the world that feels like a warm hug. Trevor's been crafting soft things and warm sips since 2019.
Fluff Beans started in a tiny garage in 2019 with a secondhand espresso machine, a bag of Ethiopian beans, and a lot of curiosity. Trevor wanted to build something that felt less like a coffee shop and more like a friend's living room — if that friend happened to make really good cortados.
Every drink is steamed to a cloud-like microfoam. Every pastry is small enough to hold in one hand while you pet the shop cat, Biscuit. The name isn't just cute — it's the whole feeling we chase.
We steam milk until it feels like a pillow. Each pour is slow and intentional — the foam should float, not fight.
Our pastries are deliberately small — so you can try three without regret. Baked fresh every morning at 5:30 AM.
Nooks with worn-in armchairs, a shelf of dog-eared novels, and Biscuit the shop cat making his afternoon rounds.
We don't do to-go rush. Stay for an hour. Read the newspaper. Pretend you have nowhere else to be.
Things that taste like they were made with patience and a good playlist.
Double ristretto, oat milk steamed to pillow consistency, a whisper of vanilla. Named after the cafe for obvious reasons.
$5.50Ceremonial-grade matcha, house-made brown sugar syrup, your choice of milk. Named for our resident cat, who loves the color.
$5.75Buttery, flaky, and small enough that you don't have to commit. Comes plain, almond, or chocolate-dipped.
$3.25Equal parts espresso and warm milk. No foam drama, no syrup. Just balance. Trevor's personal daily order.
$4.25House-blended spices simmered for an hour. Cardamom, ginger, black tea, and honey. Best on rainy Portland afternoons.
$4.75Vanilla sponge, whipped cream, seasonal berries. So light it almost floats. Serves one very happily.
$6.50"This place doesn't just serve coffee. It serves the feeling that everything is going to be okay."
— A regular who forgot their name tag
"I came here on a Tuesday when everything felt heavy. Trevor made me a Fluff Latte and didn't ask why I looked sad. The foam was so thick I had to eat it with a spoon. I stayed for two hours and read half a novel. I'll be back tomorrow."
"The Berry Cloud Cake changed my life. That's not hyperbole — I literally proposed to my partner with a slice of it on our third date here. She said yes. Trevor cried. Biscuit the cat knocked over a sugar jar. Perfect afternoon."
"I work remotely and have tried every cafe in Portland. Fluff Beans is the only one where I don't feel like I'm taking up space. The Wi-Fi is solid, the outlets are plentiful, and Trevor never gives you the side-eye for staying four hours."
Trevor explains why the grinder at Fluff Beans runs at half speed — and why that extra minute makes every cup taste like patience.
The songs we play when the Portland sky turns gray. Featuring bossa nova, lo-fi beats, and one surprising country track.
Fluff Beans sits on a quiet corner in Portland's Hawthorne district. Look for the pink door, the hanging plants, and probably Biscuit sunbathing in the front window.
